AEM Launches “Tax Smarter, Build Stronger” Ad Urging Congress to Pass One Big Beautiful Bill
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) today launched a new ad calling on the U.S. Senate to pass the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, legislation that would renew and strengthen critical pro-growth tax provisions, while supporting manufacturing investments in the United States.
The ad is part of AEM’s ongoing “Tax Smarter, Build Stronger” campaign and features the men and women of the equipment manufacturing industry who make the equipment builds, powers, and feeds America. With many provisions of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) set to expire at the end of this year, it is critical that the Senate moves swiftly to protect these tax provisions and ensure that the tax code encourages equipment manufacturers to invest and create jobs in America.
“The Senate must immediately extend and strengthen President Trump’s historic 2017 tax reform law,” said Kip Eideberg, AEM Senior Vice President of Government and Industry Relations. “Now more than ever, U.S. equipment manufacturers need certainty so they can invest in their communities, grow their businesses, and create more family-sustaining jobs in America. The One Big Beautiful Bill Act is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to cement President Trump’s pro-growth tax reforms, and we urge the Senate to swiftly pass this critical legislation.”
As part of the “Tax Smarter, Build Stronger” campaign, AEM is urging the Senate to keep pro-growth tax policies in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act:
- Protect the 21 percent corporate tax rate;
- Increase the pass-through deduction for small equipment manufacturers;
- Restore immediate R&D expensing;
- Revive full expensing for capital equipment purchases;
- Reinstate an EBITDA-based standard for interest deductibility;
- Increase and make permanent the estate tax exemption;
- Preserve the international tax system by making FDII, GILTI, and BEAT regimes permanent.
The ad will run nationwide for the next 30 days on digital platforms and connected television. It will also be amplified across AEM’s grassroots advocacy network, I Make America.
