T4 Electric Power Tractor: The Industry's First All-Electric Utility Tractor
This T4 Electric Power tractor is the first all-electric utility tractor in the industry and represents New Holland and CNH Industrial’s most recent development in their strategic plan for electrification. As a Battery Electric Vehicle that’s fully battery-powered, it is the first zero-emission light utility tractor with no internal combustion engine. The T4 Electric Power joins the New Holland T7 Methane Power LNG and T6 Methane Power tractors building a full line portfolio of zero-carbon tractor solutions.
The T4 Electric Power is the ideal solution for lower horsepower operations. It is suited for mixed farm, livestock, municipality, orchard and specialty applications with a rated power of 74hp, maximum torque of 440Nm and a maximum speed of 25 mph. This first-generation battery electric light vehicle belongs to the utility tractors segment and is 100% compatible with all conventional implements in the range. Its battery offers excellent runtime, with a four-hour runtime while completing tasks over the average workday and upwards of eight hours for low-energy demand jobs. The tractor can be charged via Alternative Current (AC) and Direct Current (DC), which offers a full recharge time of one hour when the fast-charging system is engaged. Equipped with 110V and 220V outlets, the T4 can serve as a power source for electric power tools as needed.
On the top of all benefits provided by the electrified driveline, the T4 Electric Power also delivers autonomous features using New Holland’s Precision Solutions & Telematics package. The tractor comes equipped with cameras and sensors in its roof to enable features like a follow me mode, which syncs farmer and machine movements together. The invisible bucket feature and 360° awareness provides a full view around the cab and through the attached loader. These features are controlled by a touchscreen display in the cab and come together to support other functions like air updates, live view, and map marker.
T6 Methane Power with Biomethane: The Next Step Toward Zero-Carbon Farming
The T6 Methane Power tractor is the world's first methane-powered tractor. The model is a key element in New Holland’s energy independent farm concept, closing the loop of a true circular economy, from fields to energy generation and back to fields.
Farmers can grow energy crops and use agricultural waste to generate biomethane and power their T6 Methane Power tractor. With this sustainable fuel to achieve near-zero CO2 emissions, livestock and dairy farmers can take this virtuous cycle even further by producing biomethane from manure, which subtracts CO2 from the environment. This results in a carbon-negative footprint and closes the energy loop.
Equipped with a 6.7-liter engine, the T6 Methane Power tractor has a rated engine horsepower of 145hp and max boosted engine speed of 175hp. Power, performance and torque are identical to diesel counterparts, with the added benefit of up to 30% reduction in running costs. The engine also has the capability of running on compressed natural gas when biomethane isn’t readily available.
The E15X Electric Power Mini Excavator: Delivering High Power with Zero Emission
The E15X electric power mini excavator runs on a 29-horsepower cobalt-free lithium-ion battery that powers a 21.5-horsepower motor, making it as powerful as the E14D diesel equivalent. On a fully charged battery, this excavator can operate for up to 8 hours. It can be recharged in 10 hours with a standard 110-volt outlet or within an hour with its fast charge features. The charging flexibility allows operators to fast-charge the excavator over a lunch break or slow-charge overnight.
As an electric-powered engine, the E15X electric power mini excavator produces zero emissions and uses eco-friendly bio-hydraulic oil to extend service intervals. Equipped with a zero-emission status, the E15X electric power mini excavator runs noticeably quieter than a similar piece of equipment running on a diesel engine, making it optimal for any indoor jobs or jobs with low noise level requirements.
The machine features pre-set eco, standard and power work modes with pre-set precision, normal, productivity and individual control modes, and all modes can be independently adjusted. Power management software is used to monitor the oil flow and engine speed by detecting joystick movement and setting engine speed to reduce pressure on the hydraulics and battery.
