Lely North America and AEM Host Rep. Miller-Meeks for Tour of Pella Headquarters

Pella, Iowa – Lely North America and the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) hosted United States Representative Mariannette Miller-Meeks (IA-01) for an I Make America event at Lely's North American headquarters in Pella. The event focused on addressing the biggest challenges facing equipment manufacturers and the importance of the $13.7 billion equipment manufacturing in Iowa.

“I’m thrilled that Lely has chosen Pella to be home to its North American headquarters,” said Representative Miller-Meeks. “Agriculture is an enormous part of the economy in Iowa, and I’m grateful for companies like Lely who are developing innovative solutions to help our farmers and producers. I will continue fighting for legislation to combat inflation, bolster domestic manufacturing, and support our family farms.”

Miller-Meeks toured the company's Lely Park headquarters which opened in the spring of this year in Pella. The company currently employs 60 people at the Lely Park campus, with additional growth planned there, and more than 130 employees throughout North America. During the tour, Miller-Meeks highlighted her efforts in Congress to tackle inflation, bolster our nation's supply chains, and increase America's competitiveness on a global scale.

"We are proud to host Representative Miller-Meeks at our new campus,” said Chad Huyser, President of Lely North America. “Our new business hub and complex is part of a $23 million phase 1 investment that supports the long-term vision of the team’s work each day here for Lely in North America and around the world to create “A Sustainable, Profitable and Enjoyable Future in Farming.”

"Since coming to Congress, Congresswoman Miller-Meeks has been a staunch advocate for the hundreds of thousands of equipment manufacturers who call Iowa home. AEM is grateful to the Congresswoman for her tireless efforts to support our thriving industry," said Kip Eideberg, AEM’s senior vice president of government and industry relations. "We look forward to continuing to work with Congresswoman Miller-Meeks to strengthen the might of American equipment manufacturing.”
