John Deere: Celebrating Ag On The Mall 2022

Deere has been a sponsor of National Ag Day since 1989. Deere has always been the lead sponsor and has always had someone on the Board of Directors and they have always been a true partner in the planning of the event.

John Deere is in Washington, D.C., to advocate on behalf of U.S. farmers and ranchers. For all spokespersons – this document will provide you with background knowledge relating to John Deere, our technology, and products, and how they enable farmers to be economically and environmentally sustainable.

Farmers rely on the health of the land for their livelihood and for the income of many future generations who will also farm the same land. No one is a more proactive and protective steward of the land than farmers since it is vital for farmers to preserve its value.

Smart technology in John Deere equipment helps farmers produce more with less, creating more successful crops while having a smaller impact on the land and environment. Three examples of this include newly released John Deere See & Spray Ultimate technology, 7R Tractors and X9 Combines that help farmers be more productive and sustainable.

See & Spray

See & Spray Ultimate enables in-season, targeted spraying of weeds in corn or soybean fields. See & Spray Ultimate utilizes advanced camera and control technology to differentiate between corn and soybean plants and weeds. The result - reduced herbicide usage, reduced runoff, and a positive environmental impact.

X9 Combine

The X9 Combine is the most powerful combine John Deere has ever built and exemplifies how our innovative solutions help bring farmers more precision, efficiency, and sustainability to their work. When farmers can grow more with less, the entire world benefits.

Large Square Baler

John Deere 7R Tractors offer plenty of low rpm torque, quicker response to load, increased peak torque, and improved fuel economy. These tractors are equipped with AUTOTRAC technology to optimize each pass through the field as the soil is prepared, reducing overlap, and ensuring every inch of ground is only touched as much as needed. John Deere L331Large Square Balers with precutter measure moisture and weight for each bale. While baling, the operator in the tractor can see this information. Precut bales lose less dry matter per bale during grinding. Precut crop provides a better source of acid detergent fiber and neutral detergent fiber to maintain proper rumen function in cattle. This saves producers time, fuel, labor, and shipping costs.
