Equipment Manufacturers Respond to EPA Guidance on Emission System Repairs
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) Senior Vice President of Government and Industry Relations Kip Eideberg issued the following statement on the new EPA guidance on emission system repairs:
“The EPA's new guidance on emission system repairs will help resolve longstanding ambiguity around when temporary inducement or emissions control overrides are permissible.
"Farmers depend on timely, affordable repairs to plant, harvest, and keep operations running strong and for years, AEM has advocated for regulatory consistency and clarity to ensure manufacturers can support repairs confidently without unintended compliance risks. This guidance expands repair flexibility for farmers without compromising software integrity, safety systems, or the security of modern equipment."
