Equipment Manufacturers Applaud House FAA Reauthorization

July 20, 2023 (WASHINGTON, D.C.) –  The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) released the following statement on the House passage of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reauthorization bill.

“Equipment manufacturers depend on modern airports that meet the needs of international trade, and the Securing Growth and Robust Leadership in American Aviation Act will deliver desperately needed investment that will strengthen our supply chains and bolster U.S. competitiveness,” said Kip Eideberg, AEM senior vice president of government and industry relations. "We applaud Representatives Sam Graves and Rick Larsen for their bipartisan leadership and welcome the inclusion of many of our priorities in the FAA reauthorization bill, including long overdue funding for airports to ensure safe, efficient air transport today and in the future.”

“The 2.3 million men and women of the U.S. equipment manufacturing industry stand ready to build the world-class equipment needed to capitalize on the investments included in this five-year reauthorization package that will make it easier, safer, and more secure to move people and goods across our country.”
