Equipment Manufacturers Applaud Appointment of Janet Yellen as Treasury Secretary

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) president Dennis Slater issued the following statement on the announcement that President-elect Joe Biden has nominated Janet Yellen to serve as Secretary of the Treasury:

“AEM and the nation’s equipment manufacturers congratulate Janet Yellen on her historic nomination to serve as the next Secretary of the Treasury. Her past public service as Federal Reserve Board Chair and Council of Economic Advisers Chair has prepared her for the obstacles our country is facing. Dr. Yellen understands the policies that are necessary for equipment manufacturers to invest in our communities, create family-sustaining jobs, and meet the economic challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic head on.
