Clean Fuels Alliance America is the new name of a 30-year-old organization representing sustainable fuels that are cleaner, better, available today and growing for tomorrow. Our members include biodiesel, renewable diesel, and sustainable aviation fuel producers as well as their partners in agriculture and industry.

Clean Fuels is proud to join the Celebration of Modern Agriculture on the National Mall. We’re working with the District of Columbia’s Department of Public Works and Department of Water and Sewer to showcase city trucks that run on low-carbon 100% biodiesel, demonstrating the connection between farms and cleaner, better fuels for the nation’s capital.

20220302_165041 (002)Clean Fuels’ members partner with the municipal fleets in the nation’s capital to help address the city’s carbon footprint. The D.C. DPW began using biodiesel blends more than 10 years ago and eventually became one of the first fleets in the nation to run year-round on biodiesel (B100). Learn more at https://www.biodiesel.org/dc.

Biodiesel is 74% less carbon intensive on average than petroleum. Importantly, biodiesel use also cuts particulate matter emissions from trucks by 45%. So, using B100 reduces the fleets’ greenhouse gas emissions today – an important step Washington is taking toward its carbon reduction goals for the future.

Support from the Nebraska Soybean Board and North Dakota Soybean Council makes Clean Fuels’ participation in the Celebration of Modern Agriculture on the National Mall possible.
