Bobcat to showcase technology and sustainable innovations at AEM Celebration of Construction on the National Mall

Bobcat Company, a global compact equipment, innovation and worksite solutions brand, is showcasing its technology and innovation advancements that are helping to empower people to build a more sustainable world at the AEM Celebration of Construction on the National Mall.

Bobcat has focused its recent innovation work in the areas of alternative energy, autonomous or operator-assisted operation, and digital technology.

Bobcat E60 with Bobcat Intelligent Control SystemEvent attendees can see the latest equipment and technologies from Bobcat including the Bobcat T7X all-electric compact track loader, the Bobcat S7X all-electric skid-steer loader, battery-electric excavators including the E10e and E32e, the Bobcat E60 excavator with Bobcat Intelligent Control System, and demonstrations of its advanced display technology and its collision warning and avoidance system.

Innovating to Provide Value and Solve Challenges

As a company, Bobcat innovates, not for the sake of innovating, but to provide value to its customers and solve challenges for their needs. Bobcat is constantly working with its customers in mind to understand their challenges, their needs, and how to equip them with the best solutions – not just today, but for the jobsite of the future.

Recent examples of how Bobcat is transforming the industry by making operations easier and more productive for its customers include:

  • Collision Warning and Avoidance System, which is a radar-based technology designed to assist an operator’s jobsite awareness, detect objects and slow down or stop the loader. BobcatConExpoa-263
  • Intelligent controls on the E60 excavator. The machine’s electronically controlled joysticks and intelligent software help a new operator be more productive or perform semi-automated tasks.
  • Advanced display technology puts crucial information and machine data in the operator’s line of sight, with Bobcat’s transparent touch display featuring technology from LG Electronics.

Innovating for a More Sustainable Future

Bobcat also innovates for a more sustainable future.

As a global brand with a far-reaching footprint, the organization recognizes the need to look at ways to reduce carbon emissions, energy use and consumption.

Last year, Bobcat advanced its ESG focus with the introduction of battery-electric excavators, as well as the launch of the T7X—the world’s first, all-electric compact track loader.

Not only did Bobcat replace the engine of the T7X with a lithium-ion battery, but it also developed the machine without hydraulics.

While the T7X is a sustainable platform, the technology allows it to do more than its diesel-hydraulic counterpart—with lower noise, fewer parts and instantaneous power.

At Bobcat, the team firmly believes that sustainability should not be a tradeoff for performance—in fact, they are proving that they can be done together.

The machine offers up to 8 hours of runtime, and like the T7X, it produces zero emissions and offers operators a smooth and comfortable experience with minimal vibration and nearly silent operation.

These machines offer real-world application, and because they release zero emissions, they support environmentally sensitive worksites and allow users to operate indoors, where diesel exhaust is restricted.
