Equipment Manufacturers Urge Congress to Consider Bipartisan COVID-19 Relief Legislation

Washington, D.C. – Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) Senior Vice President, Government and Industry Relations Kip Eideberg issued the following statement on the pandemic relief package put forward by a bipartisan group of lawmakers.

“The need for decisive action to strengthen the public health and economic response to the COVID-19 pandemic has never been more urgent. Too many families, small businesses, and communities are suffering as a result of partisan gridlock in Congress. The emergency relief package released by the Problem Solvers Caucus and a group of Senators on both sides of the aisle provides a clear pathway to a bipartisan, bicameral deal. While some issues still need to be addressed, too many American workers and families are running out of time. They cannot afford to wait another day. The Association of Equipment Manufacturers strongly supports this commonsense emergency relief measure and urges congressional leaders to bring it to the House and Senate floors for a vote.
