AGRIEVOLUTION ALLIANCE STRENGTHENS GLOBAL INDUSTRY SUPPORT

Manufacturer Group Offers More Global Data, Welcomes New Member Spain

The Agrievolution Alliance, a global network of agricultural equipment manufacturers, continues to grow and strengthen support of its 6000-plus member companies. The Alliance announces more global market data will be available to members through an Agriculture Statistics Program, and it welcomed ANSEMAT of Spain as its newest member organization.

Through the Agrievolution Alliance, equipment manufacturers cooperate to advance agricultural interests worldwide and promote better understanding of the key role agricultural machinery plays in sustaining a growing world population.

“Our main message to the public and government officials is the essential role of agricultural machinery to improved quality of life and economic gains: advances in mechanization provide the increased productivity and efficiencies that farmers around the world need to feed and clothe the world,” said Anita Sennett, director, agriculture product management for the North American-based Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM). AEM serves as Alliance Secretariat.

ANSEMAT, Spain Joins Alliance

The Alliance’s global representation and the value of its data continues to strengthen with the addition of the National Association for Agricultural, Forestry and Landscaping Machinery (ANSEMAT), Spain. ANSEMAT represents 63 agriculture equipment manufacturing companies in Spain, and a total of 124 companies. The Alliance now includes 14 equipment organizations from key countries and world regions.

“We look forward to ANSEMAT’s participation in the Alliance as we continue to grow in scope and provide a valuable global voice on behalf of the industry,” Sennett said.

More Global Market Data Available to Members

The Alliance will now offer more global market data to members through the Agrievolution Statistics Program (ASP). The program is a 40-year-old global data exchange among 17 companies that earlier this month officially voted in the Alliance as Secretariat to facilitate and help expand the program while receiving data for its members in return. AEM will act as Statistics Secretariat on behalf of the Alliance.

The Agrievolution Statistics Program is open to AEM and Alliance member companies, providing global product-specific market data to those reporting into the program, which currently covers five products: tractors, combines, forage harvesters and two types of hay balers. The program may be expanded in the future to include additional product categories.

AEM and Alliance association member companies who are unable to participate in the program will benefit by having exclusive access to valuable trend line data from the program in the form of five-year indexes for each of the product categories.

Data in the Agrievolution Statistics Program will continue to be processed by current provider Systematics International, an independent data processing company based out of the United Kingdom, dedicated to providing the highest quality statistical reports to manufacturing industries worldwide.

In a snapshot, Agrievolution Alliance activities include:

  • Market data: Provides biannual global tractor sales reports to AEM and Alliance member companies, and provides biannual global industry Outlook reports (based on data gathered from global surveys) to participating AEM and Alliance member companies (Public versions also available)

  • Conferences: Conducts biennial Agrievolution Summits which connect the industry globally through sharing of market and economic information, creating political awareness and providing a venue to make personal connections with stakeholders worldwide

  • Advocacy: Advocates for the industry globally through communications with government and collaboration with organizations such as the Agricultural Industry Electronics Foundation (AEF), World Bank, and Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO)
