AEM Elects Mike Gomes and Doug Griffin to its Ag Sector Board

The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) is pleased to announce the election of Mike Gomes, vice president of strategic business development at Topcon, and Doug Griffin, partner at Context Network, to its Ag Sector Board.

“I look forward to continue working with Mike and Doug as members of our Ag Equipment Sector Board, and their ongoing input and perspective on the Future’s Council,” said Megan Tanel, AEM President. “Both bring a helpful and deep knowledge base to AEM, especially when it comes to technological and strategic issues.”

Gomes joined Topcon Positioning Systems at their U.S. headquarters in Livermore, Calif. in 2008 and has held a number of roles in business development and marketing for the precision ag company ever since. Gomes has been involved in precision agriculture and related technologies since the beginning of his career in the 1990s, and currently holds an MBA from Golden Gate University and a BS in agribusiness from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

Griffin joined the Atlanta-based Context Network in 2015 as a principal after 27-year career with some of AEM’s founding members, including thirteen years with AGCO Corporation and fourteen years with Caterpillar.  Griffin’s career has centered on sales, business development, marketing and brand management. Griffin holds a BS in agricultural engineering from Purdue University.
