AEM and LeeBoy Host Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson in Lincolnton

The Association of Equipment Manufacturers’ (AEM) national grassroots campaign I Make America and AEM member company LeeBoy hosted North Carolina Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson at LeeBoy’s Lincolnton, NC headquarters on April 7 for a facility tour and town hall with LeeBoy employees. LeeBoy, an asphalt paving equipment manufacturer, employs over 300 people at its headquarters location.

Lt. Gov. Robinson has experience in the manufacturing industry as he previously worked for a furniture manufacturer during his early professional career. While touring the LeeBoy facility and production lines, Robinson reflected on his time in the manufacturing industry and offered his support for the equipment manufacturing industry, which provides more than 13,800 jobs for North Carolinians. Conversations with Robinson touched on the need for more skilled workers, supply chain constraints, and other industry challenges in North Carolina.

“It was my privilege to visit LeeBoy, and to be with AEM today. The employees here at LeeBoy are part of the American workforce that makes the world go round - they make the equipment that builds the world," said North Carolina Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson. "I am glad I was able to be with you and I will continue to fight to ensure that North Carolina and American workers are always put first!"

“LeeBoy was honored to host Lieutenant Governor Robinson at our Lincolnton facility,” said Brian Bieller, President and CEO of LeeBoy. “Thanks to the support of leaders like Lt. Governor Robinson, we can continue to manufacture the critical equipment that keeps people and goods moving safely and efficiently across America. We are encouraged to hear about his efforts in Raleigh that will allow our company and our industry to thrive in North Carolina.”

During 2022, I Make America will continue hosting elected officials from state and federal governments at AEM member company facilities across the nation. To learn more about the I Make America grassroots campaign click here.
