AEM and Husco Host U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin, Continue Push for Bipartisan Innovation Act

June 1, 2022 (Waukesha, WI)- The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) and Husco hosted U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) for a tour of the company's Waukesha manufacturing facility and to continue the conversation about supporting America's equipment manufacturers through pro-manufacturing policies. Husco is a family-owned company specializing in high performance hydraulic and electro-mechanical components for more than 30 years.

Senator Baldwin has been a strong supporter of the 2.8 million men and women of the U.S. equipment manufacturing industry throughout her career and has built an impressive record of working across the aisle to champion policies that help the industry to grow and succeed in Wisconsin and across the country.

During her visit, Baldwin met with Husco employees and provided an update on the conference committee's progress on the Bipartisan Innovation Act which would strengthen U.S. supply chains, invest in innovation, increase America's global competitiveness, and protect equipment manufacturing jobs in Wisconsin.

Senator Baldwin also recently joined AEM's I Make America campaign for a tour of Kuhn's manufacturing facility in Broadhead where, as a member of the bipartisan Bipartisan Innovation Act conference committee, she reiterated her commitment to increasing America's competitiveness in the global marketplace and ensuring the long-term success of Wisconsin's equipment manufacturing industry.

“I am working to pass the Bipartisan Innovation Act because it provides a strong federal investment that will make sure the U.S. has a self-sustaining supply of semiconductor chips that equipment manufacturers need. This will help us strengthen our domestic manufacturing supply chain and bring jobs back to America. Working together with Wisconsin manufacturers like Husco, and the Association of Equipment Manufacturers, we are going to get the job done on this legislation to support businesses and workers who are building a Made in America economy," said Senator Baldwin.

"Husco is honored to host Senator Tammy Baldwin at our Waukesha facility today," said President and CEO of Husco International Austin Ramirez. "We are grateful to have her support in the Senate and are encouraged by her commitment to helping equipment manufacturers thrive as she navigates bipartisan conversations on the Bipartisan Innovation Act."

"Senator Baldwin has been a trusted partner for America's equipment manufacturers, and we appreciate her taking the time to visit Husco today. We are grateful for her efforts to highlight the challenges facing our industry as a member of the Bipartisan Innovation Act conference committee and look forward to supporting her as she continues to be a strong voice for the 2.8 million men and women of our industry," said AEM's Senior Vice President of Government Relations Kip Eideberg.
